Job Responsibilities : As a senior leader and integral member of the regional leadership team, the Regional Marketing Director is primarily responsible for driving changes that result in profitable organic growth for the region. The ability to effectively create and communicate marketing principles, strategies and field tactics through all levels of the organization and client base is essential. This position will be a strategic partner to the regional team, in implementing and executing programs that are aligned with the regional business initiatives. Specifically, the Regional Marketing Director will: Revenue Generation:Ensure identification and execution of revenue driving opportunities for the region and develop and ground business initiatives in local market relevanceResponsible for driving changes that result in profitable organic growth for the region. Lead development of marketing plans in collaboration with General Managers and District Managers. Marketing plans will identify organic growth opportunities in each unit, go-to-market strategies and client communication. Provide tracking analysis and recommendations of organic growth and business initiatives. Research and Development:Oversee execution and interpret results of consumer and industry research to gain a deeper understanding of our consumers, clients, and markets. Collaborate with business leaders and corporate resources to achieve targeted development opportunities. Develop relationships with national and local vendor partners to provide value-added financial and intellectual capital resources in support of organic growth initiativesCollaborate and direct corporate, industry and and enterprise resources i. e. , identifies value-added benefits to growth initiatives and client wins. Business Development and Client RetentionCollaborate with sales team efforts to meet/exceed new sales volume target for the region. Participate in Miller Heiman Blue Sheet strategic sales process. Ensures sales position is on-target and is grounded in market relevance and fan and client insights. Focus includes strategy and RFP response, and client and prospect presentations for both retention and new bid effortsIntegral part of client and prospective client presentations. Participate in new account survey assessment to provide market relevance and organic growth opportunity assessment. Influences client and internal perception of ARAMARK's value differential. Provide direction on competitive positioning on value differentiation communication for the region. Establish strong relationships with key external and internal clients from c-level to functional leads. Venue Marketing:Identify local and regional opportunities and sees them through implementation. Communicate menu variety / value and new offerings through wayfinding, POP, menu boards, email blasts, announcements, digital media and vendor alignment. Work with internal clients on marketing and merchandising strategies. Work with team marketing to ensure alignment on sponsorships.
Job Requirements : Sales experience and/or strategic selling knowledge (Miller Heiman knowledge is a PLUS). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decision making. Business Savvy: analytical in approach, well versed in industry, an expert in their field, business/personal maturity. Prior experience identifying new opportunities for business within units, through client interaction and at regional level-both concept and execution. Experience working with ambiguity. He/She will have the ability to get in, assess the situation, identify key players, set goals/action plan and deliver. Proven experience with the advertising/promotional process, as well as with implementing communication plans. Personal Characteristics:The Regional Marketing Director should be a strategic thinker with strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. He/She will have the ability to effectively manage others through influence. In addition, it is expected that the successful candidate will have the following personal attributes:A self-starter, confident in his/her abilities, self-motivated and able to work effectively with little supervision. A high energy, results-oriented individual who can make a difference; an individual who takes initiative, makes things happen, accepts accountability and has a can do attitude; has a sense of urgency. Creative and flexible in attitude and style to adapt to new situations in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment. A strong value system, unquestioned integrity, and good listening skills. Education:The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A MBA or an equivalent degree from a leading institution is preferred.
