Candidate should be degree holder in Engineering, legal, or local
equivalent, having around 10+ years of experience in contracts
administration / contract management. Should be experience in the
offshore and onshore oil and gas projects or refinery/petrochemical
projects.
Profile:
Provide principal commercial
and contractual support and advice to the Project Management in the
effective administration of the prime contract between GPS and its
client and Consortium Agreement.
- Responsible for establishing and implementing the project contracts
administration procedures consistent to the company guidelines and
policies
- Act as the prime interface between the project management on all
commercial and contractual matter related to the projects.
- Establish and maintain a contract management responsibility matrix
with records the project team agreed assignment of various contract
management tasks
- Establish and manage a Contract Requirements Action List which
identifies the contractually required notices and the individual
responsible for initiating each notice.
- Establish and maintain and change order list and prepare and identify
change orders to the contract.
- Prepare an analysis of the prime contract general terms and
conditions to highlight areas of potential risk such as ambiguities,
omissions and conflicts and work proceeds. Assist the Project Manager
in mitigating the risk that arises by closely monitoring and supporting
remedial action as they arise.
- Ensure that any Subcontracts /PO contain appropriate flow down of the
prime contract terms and conditions.
- Liaise with finance / legal / insurance on project contract matters
(e.g. contract amendment / bank guarantees / bonds / invoices / claims
etc.)
- Participate in project related meetings; work closely with
procurement, engineering finance and project management to ensure
awareness of all project activities that may affect the prime contract
with the client.
- Identify areas for revenue enhancement, schedule relief and claim
avoidance, recommend appropriate actions to protect GPS interest / and
or improve project performance
- Ensure compliance with the prime contract and any consortium
agreement terms and conditions
- Co-ordinate the handling of the prime contract close out requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- The candidate should be experience in the offshore and onshore oil
and gas projects or refinery/petrochemical projects.
- He/she will be degree educated in Engineering, legal, or local
equivalent, have around 10+ years of experience in contracts
administration / contract management
- Proven knowledge of contract and commercial frameworks and experience
of EPCC contracts
- Should be able to work independently and provide guidance to others.
- Demonstrates knowledge of discipline beyond own area of speciality.
- Should have an excellent command of MS Excel and word, good inter
personal skills and be a team player.
